Thank A Priest!

I just had to share this cute picture that 7-year old Princess drew for our Parish Priest.
Tomorrow marks the 43rd Anniversary of our Pastor's Ordination to the Priesthood.  Princess came up with her own message thanking him for saying "yes" to God.  This just about sums up everything, doesn't it?
I am also sharing the spiritual bouquet that we made since it was really quite simple!
1.We printed the spiritual bouquet card from the book: Tea & Cake with the Saints.

2. Each member of the family decided what type of prayer offering they would make.  (In our case we wanted the total to be 43 prayers for the 43 years of service)
3. Then we decorated the cover and stapled it together like a book.
4.  I'm still debating about adding some glitter!  Just thinking that our priests could use a little sprinkle of glitter here and there, don't you?  I added glitter and rose petals, thanks to encouragement from Gardenia...Thanks, Gardenia!
**Please share any ideas that you have done to thank a priest...Would love to see and hear!**

  1. what a wonderful spiritual bouquet for your priest. Love the drawing with the cross on his shirt. ideas....yes to the glitter. it's beautiful as is, but you could also put real rose petal inside so when he opens it up, the petals fall out. you could day the rosary with his personal intentions in mind. or put an invitation to dinner at your house -- maybe for the date of his patron saint's feast day. just some thoughts. also, I'm sharing an award with you today. stop by when time permits.
