We followed the star,
And blessed our home...
Patron Saints will follow us where we roam.
Gifts were given to the Newborn King...
I can't tell you how excited I am about my personal Patron Saint for this year...St. Margaret Clitherow. I am already inspired by a new saint that I have never known, yet I feel like I already know her! I will be writing more about her soon. After using the Saint Generator, we taped these Patron Saint images on all of our bedroom doors...
I also put in my request with Allison, over at Totus Tuus to select a Patron Saint for this blog. I am excited to find out who that may be!?
St. Jude is our family Patron Saint for the year...
He's tacked up over our home prayer table to remind us!
St. Jude, please pray for us.
Our prayer table cloth is changed to green and back to Ordinary Time we go...but only for a "time"...Lent will be here in a jiffy!
praise God for your faithfilled start to 2012.
ReplyDeletei can't wait to see what you find on .St. Margaret Clitherow. she's sweetie patron for the year.
continued prayers.
I love your celebration, great job!! We only did the cake and the chalk this year. I hear myself saying many times a day, "next year will be better"
ReplyDeleteYour cake looks delicious and so pretty!!
What an inspirational way to celebrate the Epiphany! Love the patron saints on bedroom doors!
ReplyDeleteI love what you did for Epiphany, and I really like the Patron Saints on the bedroom doors... I might have to borrow that idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to have individual Saints for the year instead of a family one. Very nice post Tiffany. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea Tiffany. I would like to try it with my family this year. I just posted about it in my blog : )
ReplyDeleteBlessed 2012!!
So much fun to find a saint that you haven't heard of before. I love St. Jude. One of my favorites and we are waiting to hear back from Allison as well. Great Epiphany feast day and you will be sure to find abundant blessings and grace in your house with all of those saints! (Love the idea of taping them to bedroom doors!)
ReplyDeleteTiffany, you have some wonderful patron saints for your family this year. I love your idea of pasting their names and picture to the bedroom doors!! what a great reminder for everyone to invoke their saint each day!
ReplyDeleteoh, also wanted to comment on the creative "gifts" you gave the baby Jesus...the little stars with your writings on them. very wonderful.
ReplyDeleteTiffany,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know that I passed a "liebster" award to you. Thanks so much for writing your terrific blog!
Thank you all for visiting and taking the time to leave such kind comments. Nice to meet you, Tamantha and Jessica!:)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! When I did the saint generator, I too was given St. Margaret Clitherow! There is a media company in Great Britain that has made movies about the saints of her time ~ the 40 Martyrs of England & Wales who were killed as part of the Protestant purging of Catholics. My sister has ordered the one on St. Margaret Clitherow as a birthday gift to me. I should be getting it soon and can't wait to learn more about her.
ReplyDeleteI've been pinning home altars and ways to celebrate feast days, and am blessed to have stumbled upon your blog. I'm so inspired already! Thank you and God bless!
