~My Mother's Day Blessings & Me~

I pray that all Mothers had a blessed Mother's Day!  By the grace of God, after morning Mass, we were able to follow through with our Mother's Day tradition of planting our Mary Garden.  It continues to be a lovely gift that we give back to Our Lady for her "Yes" to God.  It was a blessing that hubby had time off the day before Mother's Day to gather all the flowers and supplies.  I list the flowers and their meanings at the bottom of this post.  Here are some photos:

We began our very first Mary Garden on Mother's Day, 2008. My dear husband and children gave me this garden statue for Mother's Day so it was the perfect start to our garden. As a family we were recently consecrated to our Blessed Mother so this was also a fitting way to honor her! We began shopping for flowers according to a Mary Garden website that I found. There are so many neat meanings that it was very hard to choose! We tried to stick with varieties that would do well in our area. Here are a few of the beginning photos!
