I've been watching the coverage for the East Coast and now it's our turn tomorrow...We are really looking forward to it!
Our immediate family can't go as a whole unit so I'm taking a couple of our children and riding a local parish bus with some friends from our Parish and Youth Ministry AKA "Church Family":) It was fun making these posters today, gleaning the idea from Southern California friends who already walked in San Diego:)
Here is one of my past reflections and a beautiful prayer to share if you are able to join us in spirit!
In closing, my friend Kim came across this article on Facebook (By Cardinal Dolan) and I think it's one of my favorites...Just had to share!
+Be back with more photos soon....+
Oh, how exciting!! I'll be praying for you!
ReplyDeleteI read the article you linked--great one.
I think most women today know it's not a clump of cells, I think most women know it's a baby and kill the baby anyway, for a quick fix, for their own reasons. I wrote about this a couple times this week....so heavy on my mind...
The pro life people are the only ones reproducing so eventually, it has to end, right?
I loved what you wrote, Jamie. There must be hope in goodness and mercy!
DeleteHave a wonderful time!! My daughter, Erin, just set off with a group of her friends to attend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laurie and YAY for Erin and her friends! Those young people are the hope of our future:)
DeleteI'll be with you in spirit!! Love the posters, and that's an awesome column by Cardinal Dolan!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, my friend!
DeleteI'm sore from my legs, but I'm thankful that God blessed us with a beautiful sunny day. I live close to W. Oakland's Bart Station, drove there and and the car lot was full. Blessed that the Church was a few blocks away, I quickly drove there. Ran back to Bart station to get a train. My sister and a group from their parish was on their way from Pleasanton. I was going to meet them on bart. But I was actually two trains before them. The first two trains were full with people going to the WALK. I will be sharing pictures on my blog soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the sore legs and thankful spirit, Rosario! Great job hopping Bart to get there:) I'll have pop over and see your photos too. God bless you, dear warrior for Christ!
DeleteLove your posters Tiffany! Mother Teresa is so right... how can there be such a thing as too many children? I've no doubt you'e been blessed for your participation in the Walk for Life!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Noreen!
DeleteI know all of heaven is watching... the great cloud of witnesses is watching... as each step for life is taken here on earth.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to put things, Nancy! Thank you for sharing your beautiful thoughts, like a prayer:)
