We had fun with Resurrection Cookies! It will be a new family tradition.
From my Magnificat this morning: " Human language falls silent before the mystery of the resurrection. Only one word remains to us: Alleluia!"
We made resurrection cookies on the Eve of Holy Saturday and "sealed our oven tomb." The next morning we arose and found these beautiful hollow cookies! After we opened our tomb, we place the Risen Christ outside the tomb of our Resurrection Set.
This year, we went to our early Mass and came home to make a family breakfast. Following our Easter meal, we ventured out to Grandpa and Grandma's house for an Egg Hunt and family gathering. The highlight of the egg hunt is finding the "Alleluia" egg with a special prize. This year our 6 year old found the prize egg!
It was a peaceful day surrounded by family and love.
