Today is Good Friday.
We are spending the day reflecting...Reflecting on the biggest sacrifice ever made for mankind.
Our quiet day of contemplation included making cross crafts, in memory of Our Savior and the instrument of our salvation. We had a cross pretzel snack too. I just love the prayerful meaning behind the pretzel. Since fire captain hubby had to work, we did not attempt the service with our lively 2 year old. Instead, we gathered around our home altar at the time of Christ's death, at 3 PM, and had a few moments of silence, after reading and meditating on The Passion. We turn out all the lights and sit by candlelight...This has quite a dramatic affect. We began the Divine Mercy Novena and ended the day with Stations of the Cross.
We tried to stop our world from spinning, even if for an afternoon!
We love you Jesus.
